CWL is committed to minimising the environmental impact of our operations through the following objectives;
Comply with all applicable laws, regulations and standards, including IPPC permit conditions and improvement plans, through collaboration with the authorities and other companies in the sector to develop standards and practical guides aimed at protecting natural resources and the environment
Minimise wherever practical, the impact on the external and internal local environment, by reducing waste and contamination of air, water and land, ensuring that unavoidable waste is disposed of in a safe, environmental friendly manner
Direct operations towards the rational use of resources, packing and energy, including the application of recycling and recovery techniques aimed at reducing waste
Adopt new technologies, when available, to enable the development of responsible environmental targets
Invest in training and development of the highest standards for all employees to encourage commitment to the environmental policy
The CWL environmental policy will be implemented by line management through a program of continuous improvement and re-evaluation.
To support this commitment, CWL will publish this policy together with the details of our environment performance, as part of CWL’s annual report.
